Legendary Mercedes-Benz concept car that adopted the revolutionary Wankel engine as its means of propulsion. The second version presented in 1970 (C111/II) increased its power to 370 PS and reached a top speed of 180 mph / 290 km/h. The exterior lines were drawn by of famous designer Bruno Sacco, whose solution for the C-pillar was seen in other contemporary models (such as the Volkswagen Tapiro, the Maserati Merak and the Lancia Beta Montecarlo).
