BMW M1 (1980)

BMW’s first supercar, designed by Italdesign and developed by Lamborghini. Its handcrafted construction, based on a tubular chassis, made it an expensive car that could not compete with the Italian elite. Despite the efforts of BMW’s M division, its inline six-cylinder engine fell well short of the 300 PS mark, and its weight of 1,300 kg did not help matters. It was produced in a limited edition of just over 400 units (the minimum required for Group 4 homologation). Reproduced by Norev in in 1/18 scale.
