The most dominant McLaren of all time thanks to new contributions from Honda engines, technical director Gordon Murray and the charismatic Senna who, together with Prost, swept away the competition. The British team thus closed the legendary chapter of turbo engines in Formula 1, and the Brazilian driver finally clinched his first World Title. Tamiya released this kit shortly afterwards (in 1989) with its usual high quality level.
