Having revived the Abarth brand just a few months earlier with the Abarth 500, FIAT Group unveiled the “Assetto Corse” version in late 2008 – also based in the popular city car and designed exclusively for track use –. It served as the basis for the inaugural 2009 “Abarth 500 Challenge”, with just 49 units produced for this amateur-focused championship. Power from the standard 1.4 turbo engine was raised to 190-PS, with maximum torque also set to 300 Nm. TSM Models highlights in this 1:43 resin bespoke features like forged wheels, rear wing and a stripped interior fitted with roll cage and single bucket-type seat, which contributed to a weight of just 930 Kg.
